Best Indoor Driving Ranges In Metro Detroit

For golfers, living in the Detroit area has some major drawbacks; chief among them is the fact that the courses are unplayable for nearly half of the year due to famous Michigan winters. But for many Motown residents, especially those who may have gotten a new club or two over the holidays, the urge to get out there and whack a few balls is just too great. For those who don't like waiting, indoor golf ranges are the best option until the spring thaw and the courses open back up. Here are some of the Motor City area's best indoor ranges to try out this cold weather season.
Oasis Golf Center
39500 5 Mile Road
Plymouth, MI 48170

Located in Plymouth, just off of the 1-275 expressway near Five Mile Rd., is the Oasis Golf Center, which has a massive heated dome that houses all of your indoor driving ranges needs for any cold weather occasion. The Oasis Gold Center is the only indoor golf range within all of Wayne County, so if you're near Detroit, this is the location for you. Rates are very reasonable, and the dome is also available for rental for large parties and corporate outings, as well. Bring your clubs and stay in top shape for the opening of the season this spring when you practice all winter long.

The new SwingTEK golf training facility in Troy is a top-of-the-line center that features five hitting bays, as well as a whole slew of other indoor golfing options for cold weather, including a bunker, pitching area and a 900-square-foot putting green. The 6,800-square-foot facility is the brain child of Detroit area entrepreneur Mike Callaway and local PGA professional, Ken Allard. Golfers can come here to do more than just hit a few balls; they can actually come to train and improve on their game in the off-season, as well!
