Easter Day should be a relaxing day spent with family, friends or other important people in your life. Check out this list for some ideas for activities on the day itself.

Check out one of Detroit's newest hotspots for your Easter brunch: Dime Store. It serves breakfast and brunch all day on weekends, and has different varieties of hash, "Benny's" (egg benedict, served with a side salad), or sweet brunch items like Belgian waffles and brioche French toast. Dime Store's French toast is served with real maple syrup as well. The restaurant also serves breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast delicacies.

Bunnyville is a great event for kids hosted by the Detroit Zoo, and this is its 24th annual event. Donations of canned or non-perishable foods are encouraged, and a reduced admission fee of $8 will be available to those who donate, not including parking (admission for Detroit Zoo members is free, but members are still encouraged to bring donations). Activities include a golden egg hunt, crafts, Funny Bunny games, the JellyBean Jamboree, and more. Pictures with the Easter Bunny are also available for purchase. The musical "The Bunny Follies" will be performed on the hour from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. as well.

Another idea for brunch is the Longacre House, which hosts an official Easter brunch yearly. Last year, Easter Brunch was $30 per adult, $20 per child under 12, and free for children 3 and under, gratuity not included. Sample buffet items include chilled tomato and orange juices, petite breakfast pastries, florentine and jardinaire miniature quiches, carved turkey breast with sandwich rolls, bacon and sausage links, and more.

Royal Oak's Grant Park will be hosting its annual Easter Egg hunt. Children can also have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny, play games, and find the Easter Eggs that have been hidden in the park. Grant Park is located on E. Irving Ave. between 5th and 6th Street, just south of downtown. If you'd like to take a stroll through the park on Easter Day (April 5), that would be a nice way to spend the day as well.

Cranbrook features a Creatures of the Night presentation from September through May and again from mid-June through August, which could be fun for your kids after church or any morning Easter activities. Kids will learn about bats and their "adaptations for living at night," and they will also see live creatures including bats, flying squirrels, owls, sugar gliders, and a two-toed sloth. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $4 for Cranbrook members.
