This theatre is popular for its digital screens, comfortable seating, good matinee prices, adult beverages and location across from many popular eateries, clubs and three big shopping centers. It's well-run, with plenty of staff on hand so you aren't in line very long at the ticket booth or concessions. Plenty of free parking is available.

If a movie is out in wide release, you'll probably find it here. A very well kept theatre with plenty of options and near popular eateries and a shopping center. $5 early matinees! Plenty of free parking is available.
AMC Livonia 20
19500 Haggerty Road
Livonia, MI 48152

Less impressive than the AMC Forum 30, but still well-run near popular restaurants. You may find the occasional foreign or art crowd film playing here. Can't beat the $5 early matinees! Plenty of free parking is available.
AMC Star Southfield 20
25333 West 12 Mile Road
Southfield, MI 48034
(248) 368-1802

The Star Southfield was the flagship of a popular regional chain that was known to have the first THX approved theatres in the area and enclosed restaurants and clubs. Recently, new restaurants and a new club have opened. But still, you have to enjoy the $5 early matinees, and if you enjoy seeing movies without a big crowd, this may be your best option as only the weekend evening shows are heavily attended. Plenty of free parking is available.
Birmingham Uptown Palladium 12

If there's a premier or sneak preview of a movie in the Detroit area, it's usually here. Great screens, comfortable seating featuring high back seats with custom Tempur-Pedic cushions, and a Dinner Buffet available for some shows at affordable prices – great for a dinner/movie date! The only down side is parking, which is in nearby decks, but not adjacent to the theatre like the other multiplexes. But it's downtown Birmingham so you can people watch as you walk to the theatre! Enjoy $5 matinees Monday – Thursday before 6pm!
