Berkley Investigates Officer's Odd Facebook Page
Berkley officials have launched an investigation into a police officer's personal Facebook page that included pictures of officers' faces pasted on bodies of cowboys and scantily clad men.
City Attorney Randall Cain told Newsradio 950 he was doing online research for a drunk driving case in Berkley when he discovered the page.
"I was absolutely floored pulling up these photos. And the, looking a little bit further...then, the comment, or motto maybe, they've got on the site -- 'Some chased. Some hunted. Some apprehended. All regulated," he said.
"And, the officers have got their faces superimposed on these figures. Whether they think it's a joke, or it goes further than that, I don't know. But, all I know is it's not appropriate," Cain said.
One of the pictures Cain provided to The Oakland Press shows faces pasted on the bodies of three nearly naked men standing arm-in-arm. Two of the men are wearing chains, one appears to have nipple piercings and another is wearing nipple clamps. Another image shows what looks like faces pasted on the bodies of members of The Village People.
The Public Safety Director says the officer was immediately asked to take down the page dubbed "Squad Four Regulators."
WWJ has a call out to the city manager for a comment on this case.
