BBB Issues Email Scam Alert
SOUTHFIELD -- The Better Business Bureau of Detroit and Eastern Michigan reported last week that businesses across the country have been receiving a spam email purporting to be from the Better Business Bureau regarding a complaint and referencing a complaint identification number.
Actually, BBB says, these emails are spam with virus potential.
If you receive this email, do not click on any links, open attachments or reply to the e-mail. Instead delete the email completely from your computer. If you have clicked on links, opened attachments or replied to the email, delete the email and run a virus scan.
Your BBB does not send emails of this nature to businesses or consumers. BBB lawyers are working to track down what is happening and will take appropriate action to protect its trademark.
