Batman v Superman Movie Set Turned Into Bat Houses To Be Auctioned For Charity

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder is using his powers for good. This time it's with the Organization for Bat Conservation in support of the Save The Bats campaign.
More than 100 bat houses were built and painted by the cast and crew with pieces of the set. The bat houses will be auctioned in conjunction with the debut of the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter 110 bat houses will be up for grabs to be exact with 23 of them signed by Snyder, Ben Affleck or both. Precisely 41 of the houses will be auctioned and 69 of them will be set as "Buy it Now" Danielle Todd, the organization's communications director told Digital Trends.
Todd explained the impact of having a tie to a summer blockbuster, "We expect to see even more interest and awareness in bat conservation."
The money raised is significant for their educational work. Todd described how "all proceeds will go directly to the care and feeding of the bats ..."
"It's these bats that are the core of our education work and what starts so many people on the road to conservation," she added.

BvS was primarily shot in Detroit where it's cast and crew spent time at the Bat Zone at Cranbrook Institute of Science growing to love bats. Stars of the film Ben Affleck and Amy Adams cut a PSA video promoting the winged mammals benefits and their leading threats.
