Barricaded Gunman Situation Ends Without Injury In Lincoln Park
LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) - A Lincoln Park man is in custody after allegedly assaulting his wife and barricading himself in their home with a gun on Cleaphus street for several hours.
Police Lt. Brian Hawk says the man fired a shotgun outside the house but no one was hurt.
Hawk says the woman got out of the home but a SWAT team surrounded the home for several hours.
"My understanding from the SWAT commander is that the SWAT team was staging still, and he observed them and just came out ... and turned himself over to police," said Hawk.
Hawk says the man has been taken into custody and the county prosecutor will determine charges.
He says one officer was hurt by a piece of glass.
