Barricaded Gunman Situation Ends Without Incident In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police diffuse a dangerous barricaded gunman situation on Detroit's east side.
The incident happened early Sunday morning when members of the Swat team and Hostage negotiators arrived a home near Warren and Outer Drive.
Authorities say the suspect threatened his girlfriend with a gun -- before barricading himself inside.
The suspect, a man in his 50's, eventually let the girlfriend go -- and SWAT Team members coaxed the gunman out safely with the help of the suspect's friends.
No one was injured. The gunman is currently in custody.
