Bar Owner Hopes To ID Super Bowl Sneak
SOUTHGATE (CBS Detroit) - A local bar owner is using Facebook to help catch a thief.
Steve Mallie, owner of Mallie's Sports Grille and Bar in Southgate, says someone racked up a $200-plus bar tab there during the Super Bowl, loaded up on free t-shirts and other gear, and then split without paying.
Another patron snapped photo of the suspect, and Mallie is now sharing it via social media and offering a $50 reward to whoever can I.D. the guy. As of Monday morning, the pic had been shared over 1,500 times.
Mallie said the mystery man, pictured at left, was with two women, sitting next to a table of people Mallie knew.
He tells WWJ Newsradio 950 that if the culprit pays his tab by Friday no charges will be filed.
