Bank Exec.'s Family Wants Second Autopsy
The family of Mt. Clemens banker David Widlak, whose body was found Sunday, wants a second autopsy. The Macomb County Medical Examiners office said the exact cause of death hasn't been determined, but a family member told Crain's Detroit Business they were told it was likely drowning.
To get a second opinion, Oakland County Medical Examiner Dr. L. J. Dragovic has been hired to preform an independent autopsy. The family believes Widlak's death was a result of foul play.
Widlak's body was found by duck hunters in shallow waters of Lake St. Clair Sunday night near Jefferson and Shook, in Harrison Township. He'd been missing for nearly a month.
The medical examiner was not able to find any evidence of blunt force trauma to Widlak's body. Officials are now waiting for the results of the toxicology report which could take three to four weeks.
Widlak was last was seen at the Mount Clemens-based Community Central Bank Corp. administrative offices Sept. 15. His car was in the parking lot when a maintenance worker found the offices in disarray the following morning.
