I-96 Backed Up For Hours After Truck Flips
BRIGHTON (WWJ) - They were hitting the brakes all afternoon along on eastbound I-96 at Pleasant Valley Road near Brighton after a truck loaded with scrap metal lost control and overturned in a pond.
A HAZMAT team arrived on the scene at around 1:30 p.m. to begin cleanup, but crews were still working to remove the truck after 4 p.m.
The right lane was blocked, backing up traffic to U.S. 23, but all lanes have since reopened.
Police said truck driver was being treated for minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
