Dow Corning Named One Of 'America's Safest Companies': Midland-based Dow Corning Corp., a world leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation, has been named one of America's Safest Companies by EHS Today. Twelve companies were selected for the 2010 honor. EHS Today, a magazine dedicated to management of risk in the workplace and environment, created the award in 2002 to recognize companies for innovative safety strategies within their operations. The award is open to all American companies, regardless of size or industry. Dow Corning and other honorees on the America's Safest Companies list were recognized at an award ceremony on Oct. 4, as part of the National Safety Council's Annual Conference in San Diego, Calif. Dow Corning provides more than 7,000 products and services to more than 25,000 customers worldwide.
