Aqaba Technologies earns special Google certification: The Sterling Heights Web site developer and digital advertising agency Aqaba Technologies has been awarded the status of a Google Certified Engage Agency. Aqaba and Google executives highlighted their skill sets showcasing what it means to be a Google Certified Engage Agency at a seminar and demonstration Tuesday held at Automation Alley in Troy. A long-time member of the leading technology consortium in Southeastern Michigan, Aqaba and Google representatives and customers were on hand for a showcase demonstration of the company's cutting edge practices in search engine optimization (SEO), Web site development and digital advertising at this invitation-only event for some 100 companies. The official designation was made in February after the company's key Web developers flew out to Google's headquarters in California to complete multiple written exams. Google would not disclose how many agencies have been designated as a Certified Engage Agency but said the number is limited and based on strict criteria and a proven track record of achieving client goals. The honor is special and only bestowed on select agencies that can only promote their status with the express written consent of Google. The company, established in 2004, has clients in all major market sectors in Michigan, the United States and in select countries.
