Avidasports Expands Staff
Harper Woods-based Avidasports LLC has announced the expansion of its sales staff with the hiring of two new sales executives to serve its Midwest and West Coast markets.
Avidasports has hired Matt Patton as regional sales manager for its Midwest operations and Bennett Clark as regional sales manager for its West Coast operations.
"The marketplace is very excited about our athletic telemetry system of sensors to monitor athletic performance with swimming our first target sport," said Bill Burnett, Avidasports vice president of sales. "Both Patton and Clark have exceptional athletic and academic credentials and we are excited to welcome them aboard to serve our fast-growing customer base."
Avidasports has invented a real time computer and sensor system that can measure an athlete's workout performance and relay the information "real-time" to a computer and allow for real-time communication from the coach to the athlete -- even swimmers.
Patton, who will serve the Midwest markets, is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Patton is an eight-time Big Ten Conference Champion and eight-time NCAA All-American who competed in the 2008 Olympic trials in the 400 freestyle and 200 butterfly swims. He has already qualified and plans to compete in the 2012 Olympic trials.
Clark, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, was captain of the men's swim team in 2008-2009 and a four-time NCAA All-American. He is based out of San Francisco, Calif.
"We are delighted to have these scholar-athletes aboard the Avidasports team and are excited at our growth in the collegiate and high school swimming markets across the country," said Scott Hedges, vice president of operations for Avidasports. "We believe getting our swimming clients off to a good start with the help of exceptional swimmers who understand first-hand how this technology can take swim programs to the next level across the country is critically important."
Avidasports LLC was founded in 2009. The high-technology company is a pioneer in the area of "Athletic Telemetry" and use of micro-computers and micro-machinery sensors for the "real-time" monitoring of athletic performance. Avidasports technology allows for highly accurate performance data collection and coach-athlete communications to help athletes and teams achieve peak performance.
