Auto Show Wraps Up With Eye On New Views For Next Year
DETROIT (WWJ) - The North American International Auto Show comes to a close later in the day and the 2014 Auto Show Chairman Bob Shuman says they're already focusing on some big floor plan changes for next year:
"Some of the manufacturers that have really big displays are going to be losing some of their space over the next two years, and some other manufacturers will be gettng bigger," said Shuman.
"I thought about 90 percent of Cobo was done but I guess it's more like 65 percent and next year more areas will be opening up - more meeting space, more window space along the river - will make it even more beautiful views from inside, so we'll be able to incorporate that into the show and that's a lot of what's going to be changing this year," said Shuman.
Shuman says they base manufacturer's placement during the show on sales and how many cars they bring to the show.
