Authorities: Detroit Man Dies In Lake Michigan
GLEN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 24-year-old Detroit man has died after going for a swim in Lake Michigan off Leelanau County.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle and MLive.com report Dylan Bailey died Thursday after he was found unresponsive in Sleeping Bear Bay.
Several people reported seeing Bailey swim into the bay and later yell in distress roughly 600 feet from shore. One person dragged him to land.
Authorities say Bailey was visiting Leelanau County with friends.
