Attorney Facing Embezzlement Charges In Macomb
MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) - According to an old adage "Sometimes its easier to rob someone with a fountain pen than it is with a gun."
St. Clair Shores attorney Robert Buschmole, 39, is facing a charge of embezzlement over $100,000 which is a 20-year felony.
The trust fund contained almost $400,000 and it is alleged that Buschmole, a former Law School class president, drained the account by writing checks to himself over a four-year period.
Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith says Buschmole emptied nearly every penny of a trust fund for two Warren teenagers.
The mother of the boys called Buschmole prior to the trust disbursement age of 19, but never received a return call.
So she went to the police, who found the account empty, turning over the case to prosecutors.
