GROSSE POINTE SHORES (WWJ) - It's the highest-priced home for sale in the state.
Furniture magnate Art Van Elsander's 28,000-square-foot French Chateau in tony Grosse Pointe Shores is priced at a whopping $15,900,000.
At 950 Lake Shore Road, the swanky estate sits on four acres, with 265 feet of Lake St. Clair frontage.
The home, just down the street from William Clay Ford, also has both an indoor and an outdoor pool, a tennis court, swirling marble staircases, six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Jaime Rae Turnbull, the real estate agent handling the home, says if you want to have a look inside, you must pre-qualify — in other words, prove you can afford it.

She's had a few showings already.
Art Van Elslander, founder of Art Van Furniture, and his wife, Mary Ann, built the house in 1991. There's no word on where or why they're moving.
