Arson-For-Hire Suspect Arraigned
A man suspected of starting a fire that injured seven Detroit firefighters was in federal court Wednesday. The 30-year old Samson Wright was arraigned on charges that he set a fire August 13th on East Jefferson Ave.
Investigators said Wright was part of an arson-for-hire plot, deliberately setting the blaze burned a building that housed several businesses.
According to the compliant, Wright told police he was approached by a person who promised him $500 to set the fire and another $1500 when the job was done.
Wright's trial is scheduled to begin November 23. He's being held without bond.
