Arrest Made In Redford Twp. Triple Murder

REDFORD TWP. (WWJ) - A 23-year-old man is expected to be arraigned on Monday in the assault-rifle murders of a man, woman and teenage boy at a house in Redford Township.

The attack happened Friday night on Dixie, near Telegraph and Plymouth.

Police said 48-year-old Shawn Dunlop, who neighbors said lived in the home with her boyfriend and daughter, was shot to death. The other two victims have been identified as 17-year-old Bryant Jones and 40-year-old Darrell Bulock of Detroit.

Neighbors talking to WWJ Newsradio 950's Ron Dewey police had been called to the home several times before -- at least once to break up a fight.

The suspect was arrested in Detroit following a tip to the Detroit Comprehensive Violence Reduction Partnership, an anti-crime task force.

The CVRP taskforce set up surveillance on a home, located in the 8000 block of Normile.  He was taken into custody several hours later.

The suspect's name will be released when he is formally charged later Monday. Police believe the victims knew the shooter, but what exactly may have led to the murders remains under investigation.

CVRP consist of members from the Detroit Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Michigan State Police, and Michigan Department of Corrections.
