Are You Done Worrying About The Lions?

This is why the preseason does not count.
What was your biggest worry following the Lions preseason? Based on our calls it was quarterback Matthew Stafford. A number of people that called 97.1 The Ticket wanted him gone. They wanted backup Shaun Hill to take over, which was silly.
Do you want to hear something even more ridiculous? Someone thought career backup Drew Stanton was the answer. The Lions offense did absolutely nothing during the preseason. And as I kept pointing out, that does not mean a thing.
The preseason is about getting a few reps in and staying healthy. You work on a few plays and work on timing. It does not make or break you.
Stafford passed for 357 yards and two touchdowns on 28-for-45 passing during Sunday's season-opening 34-24 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. It was not a great day but he found Reggie Bush and let him do his thing. Bush rushed for 90 yards and caught four passes for 101 yards and was just 10 yards from a double-triple, a new stat I am going to make up for him when he rushes and receives for more than 100 yards.
The Lions played with Calvin Johnson, Bush, Stafford and healthy receivers. They did not during the preseason.
Now how many of you remain concerned?
