Antiquing This Weekend In Grosse Pointe Farms
GROSSE POINTE FARMS (CBS Detroit) - If you're looking for something new to add to your antiques collection, Christ Church in Grosse Pointe is where you'll want to be this weekend.
More than 30 dealers will have countless items on display through Sunday afternoon.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, some folks will get an early peek at the items for sale and take part in a silent auction. Antique appraisals will also be offered for $10.
Event Co-Chair Patsy Gotfredson lists some of those items up for bid.
"A boat cruise on the Detroit River and a barbecue to follow. We have gift certificates to restaurants: the Rattlesnake Club, The Hill ... We have a personal chef," Gotfredson said. "We have a single malt scotch tasting. We have roses and hydrangeas donated by Greater Detroit Landscaping."
Another silent auction item could put you in the Letterman Show audience.
Funds raised will support the church's music and outreach programs.
Show hours are Friday, May 31, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 2, 11:30 a.m. - 5 .pm.
