Animal Cruelty Case In Redford Township
Two people face animal cruelty charges for hoarding dozens of animals in their Redford Township home.
Patricia Wenderski and her 36-year-old son son, Eric Wenderski, are to be arraigned in district court Thursday.
More than 50 cats, dogs and rabbits were found in their home early last month in the I-96/Inkster area. The home has been declared uninhabitable by township officials. They are now in the process of razing the property, with hopes of the Wenderskis being made responsible for demolition costs.
Police were led to the home after getting several complaints of strong smells from the property.
