• Dennis Dillon of sportingnews.com ranked the Lions No. 2, behind Seattle, in terms of teams that helped themselves most. "By adding (Jahvid) Best and (Amari) Spievey, the Lions addressed two of their biggest needs. ... (But) it may take another year or two for the Lions to stand toe-to-toe with the Vikings and Packers in the NFC North."
