Amputee Football Player Gets Playing Time For Montana State [VIDEO]

There are a countless number of feel-good stories in sports. An underdog who achieves success, someone who returns from an injury and has a breakout year, but Koni Dole's story is on a whole other level.

He's a redshirt freshman linebacker for Montana State. He also has an amputated leg.

In 2012, Dole suffered a compound fracture in high school which required six surgeries. He eventually chose to amputate his right leg below the knee, but continued to play with a custom prosthetic.

For the first time, Dole saw action late in Montana State's 45-14 win over Fort Lewis.
