American Legacy-Traveling Museum In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - "Know Your History" traveling museum; it's a look back in time in African-American history to celebrate Black History Month.
The traveling museum stopped Sunday at the Second Baptist Church in Greektown, and will be at the General Motors headquarters Monday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Founder and publisher of American Legacy Magazine, Rodney Reynolds, says the exhibit also shows the fight for civil rights and black history in aviation.
"We have some slave shackles, some paraphernalia. There's an exhibit for the civil rights movement and there's a trivia wheel and a genealogy kiosk," Reynolds says.
The traveling museum is free and open 10-4 on Monday in Lot C at the Renaissance Center.
