American, 2 Japanese Share Chemistry Nobel
American Richard Heck and Japanese researchers Ei-ichi Negishi and Akira Suzuki have won the 2010 Nobel Prize in chemistry for "palladium-catalyzed cross couplings in organic synthesis.''
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences says the their work has helped give mankind new medicines and revolutionary materials such as plastics.
