Altair Releases MindManager Through HyperWorks Partner Alliance
Troy-based Altair Engineering Inc. Tuesday announced the official release of MindManager, the visual information- mapping tool from Mindjet, through the HyperWorks Partner Alliance.
HyperWorks customers, using their previously acquired HyperWorks Units, will gain access to the latest version of MindManager (9.0) through the HyperWorks Units-based licensing mechanism. More information about MindManager is available on the HWPA website, www.hyperworksalliance.com.
MindManager's benefits synch extremely well with Altair's user base requirement. This furthers both companies' shared mission of providing technology that optimizes the visualization and analysis of information. To foster innovation, organizations and individuals need to capture creative thinking and convert a wealth of inputs into coherent action plans. MindManager enables users to organize, implement, track and complete projects by displaying ideas and information in an easy-to-understand, editable visual layout.
"Mindjet provides essential productivity software that visually manages complex information enabling more efficient requirements gathering and validation, project planning and process improvement for Altair's customers, ultimately leading to better decision-making," said Ken Hirschman, Mindjet vice president of business development. "The HyperWorks licensing model is an attractive system that allows Altair's customers to leverage Mindjet's capabilities while paying only for actual use."
The HWPA enables users to flexibly access software like MindManager on-demand by utilizing their previously acquired HyperWorks Units, maximizing the value of their investment.
MindManager's visual information maps start with a central theme and then add branches with ideas, notes, images, tasks, hyperlinks and attachments. Users can easily import from or export to a variety of applications, including Microsoft Office. MindManager has been adopted by more than 1.8 million professionals around the world and 45 of BusinessWeek's 50 "World's Most Innovative Companies."
"Altair is very excited about the addition of MindManager to the HWPA lineup," said Antoine Poussier, director of global partner programs at Altair Engineering.
