Allen Iverson Says He Didn't Lift Weights When He Played

For the amount of basketball that Allen Iverson didn't practice, it's pretty remarkable that he turned out to be an all-time great player.
The one-time Detroit Piston made the Hall of Fame despite the fact that the 6-foot-0 point guard never won a championship and wore out his welcome on nearly every team he played for.
His practice habits -- or lack thereof -- extended away from the practice court. Iverson told reporters in Philadelphia on Friday that he didn't even lift weights while he was a professional player.
"Iverson just said he didn't lift weights when he played because 'that s-- was too heavy,'" Philadelphia 76ers reporter Derek Bodner tweeted on Friday.
Iverson also sounded off on the emerging trend of superstars taking nights off for "rest."
Pay attention, kids: Iverson might be the only professional athlete ever to make the Hall of Fame while making a minimal effort off the court.
