Alleged Cop Killer In Court Today
Prosecutors present evidence today in the case against a Dearborn man, accused in the hit-and-run death of an auxiliary police officer from Taylor.
Officer Dan Kromer was helping a driver on I-94 near Monroe, when he was struck and killed by another motorist, later identified by police as 40-year-old Nino Delpiano of Dearborn.
A district court hearing will examine the evidence and determine whether Delpiano goes to trial. The hearing comes two weeks after Kromer's death, and one week after hundreds of officers paid their respects at a memorial service.
