Alert Homeowner Helps Police Catch Teens Breaking Into Neighbor's House
PONTIAC (WWJ) - An alert homeowner helped police catch four teens breaking into her neighbor's Pontiac home.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said they received a call from a concerned neighbor in the 500 block of E. Tennyson Street who said she heard glass break and observed three males in the rear of the home next door. Police say the woman gave a detailed description and said the suspects ran east over the fence.
Police responded with a K-9 unit who led them to another house in the area. Deputies say they found four teens in the home they were able to link to the crime.
Three juvenile suspects, two aged 14 and one 16-year-old, were released to their parents, while a 17-year-old suspect was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
Charges are pending.
