Alcohol The Root Of Fire Which Injured 2 In Pontiac?
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Authorities in Pontiac continue to look into a fire that left two people injured.
Officials say the apartment fire on Bay Street, near Opdyke, Saturday evening left a 30-year-old woman with burns to her feet, and her seven-year-old son with smoke inhalation.
Both were taken to area hospitals.
But officials say the investigation shows the woman was drunk and possibly passed out while cooking.
Child protective services is looking into the case.
