Alan Trammell, Kirk Gibson, Don Mattingly And Mark McGwire Brawl

It seems like once a year the WWE has a throwback edition of their popular show "Monday Night Raw" that features the throwback likes of Roddy Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter and Dusty Rhodes, among others. To me it is always cool to see the guys from my childhood back in the ring, regardless of their age. And that seemed like exactly what happened in the world of baseball last night when the star players of yesterday turned it into a WWE event.
The L.A. Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks faced each other in L.A. The Dodgers have what seemed to be this year's version of Mike Trout on their roster -- in the name of Yasiel Puig. Puig has been with the Dodgers for nine games thus far, batting .471 with four HRs and 10 RBI to go with his laser rocket arm in right field.
Puig was up to bat facing the Diamondbacks pitcher Ian Kennedy and Kennedy hits Puig right in the face. Puig takes the bean ball like a champ and goes down to first. In the following inning the Dodgers pitcher Zach Greinke stuck up for his teammate and beaned the Diamondbacks' Miguel Montero. Montero didn't take too kindly to that, which caused both benches to clear. Nothing really came of this, until Grienke took to the plate in the bottom half of the seventh and that is when all hell broke loose.
Ian Kennedy threw at Zach Greinke's head and hit him right in the helmet. That's when old school WWE/MLB took over. Don Mattingly threw down former Tiger Alan Trammell, and Kirk Gibson started jawing with former Cardinals' slugger Mark McGwire. I can't really do this video any justice by talking about it so you will just have to watch for yourself.
Don Mattingly's son took to Twitter after the brawl took place and really enjoyed his father throwing down the former Tiger great Trammel.
