Agility Health Expands National Outpatient Clinic Group In Michigan
Agility Health, a Grand Rapids-based, national provider of physical rehabilitation and software, Tuesday announced the addition of a new outpatient clinic in Plainwell.
The new clinic brings the company's Michigan-based outpatient clinic presence to 23 owned or partnered facilities and follows the recent addition of 11 locations in Texas, Missouri, Arizona and Kentucky.
Agility Health's Plainwell clinic provides a full array of standard and specialty physical therapy services, including treatment for low back and spinal dysfunction, headache management, vestibular rehabilitation, post-operative and industrial rehabilitation, and maintenance and fitness programs following discharge from prior therapy treatment.
The Plainwell team, led by Eric Manrose, PT -- certified as a clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and an adjunct professor for manual therapy labs at Grand Valley State University -- also has specific expertise in sports performance training and rehabilitation. Manrose received his doctorate in physical therapy and completed his orthopedic manual physical therapy residency training at Oakland University in Rochester.
A centerpiece of the new clinic is an innovative stabilization-exercise system known as Redcord. Originally developed in Norway by an ex-gymnast and believed to be the first installation of its kind in West Michigan, Redcord consists of an adjustable treatment table and an elaborate, ceiling-suspended array of bright-red bungees, harnesses and slings that can enable exercise in virtually any position. Using this suspension technique, Agility Health's therapists can "unweight" patients of all ages and fitness levels, eliminating their pain and then "re-educating" key muscles through exercise and neuromuscular stimulation to regain normal movement patterns and build strength.
