Advance Path Academy

A Macomb County School district is trying something new to make sure more kids graduate.   The Utica Community Schools is launching The Advance Path Academy this fall for Kids who are struggling to finish high school.

Robert VanCamp is Assistant Superintendent for teaching and learning in the Utica Community Schools.
He says the program will benefit students who are behind on their credits and may not graduate with their classmates.   Van Camp says the programwill combine traditional classroom learning with on-line classes, an approach with research has shown to be successful for many students.

The Advance Path Academy  will have room for 200 students, and will be open to students 15 years or older who live in Macomb County. For more information or to register, please call (586) 797-7000.
