Actress Robin Givens To Meet-and-Greet Detroiters Saturday
DETROIT (WWJ) - As WWJ Newsradio 950 and CBS Detroit.com were the first to announce, actress Robin Givens will be paying a special visit to Detroit Saturday. She'll be in town for a meet-and-greet with fans and to kick off a series of workshops she's launching in Detroit called "The Art of Acting…for Life." The workshops are aimed at helping aspiring actors develop their craft, as well as others who may be struggling with confidence and self-esteem issues.
In addition to giving fans an opportunity to meet and mingle with Givens, fans will have an opportunity to enjoy a "Fashion Preview by Mark England," and composer and pianist Ozie Cargile II will present his "Song for Humanity." Cargile is a native of Detroit and director of the "Song for Humanity" project, which "showcases meaningful music for social change at home and abroad." The Boulder Symphony Orchestra premiered the "Song for Humanity" in March of this year.
Tickets to the meet-and-greet, scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2011, are still available. Event details:
