Actor Giamatti Apologizes To City Of Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Actor Paul Giamatti is apologizing to Detroit.
During an appearance on the morning TV show "Regis and Kelly" Friday, Giamatti said he couldn't attend an awards ceremony recently in Canada because he was filming a movie in Detroit.
Giamatti said, quote, "I couldn't go because I was shooting a movie in Detroit, which is like being in prison."
He later apologized, saying the job he was doing was like prison, not the city of Detroit. Giamatti was here working on the George Clooney movie "The Ides of March".
