Grand Rapids Freeway Crash Kills Passenger, Injures Driver
GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) - A young woman backs up on I-96, and the ensuing crash kills her 17-year-old passenger and leaves her seriously injured.
Reports say the accident happened early Saturday morning in Grand Rapids, when the 25-year-old woman missed her exit and went in reverse to get back to it.
Police report a semi-truck then slammed into her passenger-side door, killing the teen.
The woman is from Bay City and is reportedly pregnant.
