A Triple Shot Of Kid Rock!
DETROIT (WWJ) - A triple shot of Kid Rock!
The superstar rocker is releasing details of his U.S. summer tour, and it includes three shows at DTE Energy Music Theater: August 9th, 10th, and 11th, where all reserved and lawn seats will be just $20 each! ZZ Top will be Kid Rock's opening act at each of his DTE shows.
And, there are added bonuses for fans who attend the concerts at DTE: Kid Rock is also offering free upgrades for fans chosen at random, including front row seats, and cheaper prices on everything from parking to t-shirts.
Also a first for a Kid Rock tour, participating Walmart locations will also offer "all-in" $20 tickets – no parking costs, no fees, nada.
Says Kid Rock, "Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn't want that to be a reason why everyone couldn't get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night. So we're going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks. We're not sparing any expense on this tour, we're going over the top as always, but that doesn't mean we're going to ask the fans to pay more. If this works we're going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we're doing. If it doesn't… might be a long summer. But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices out there and change things up, and I'm lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever."
Kid Rock is touring in support of his 10th album, Rebel Soul, and will perform a special set on the outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. He will also make a special appearance on Chelsea Lately on Tuesday, April 9th, and will be returning to Piers Morgan Live, along with Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, to discuss this groundbreaking tour on Friday, April 12th.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 12th. Current members of Kid Rock's Rebel Soldiers fan club will have first access to presale tickets through Kid Rock's website.
