Prices At The Pump Dip Down

Filling up your gas tank is a little bit cheaper in Metro Detroit this week.  

Gas prices have fallen about four cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.97.   Detroitgasprices.com says that compares with the national average that has increased 3 cents per gallon.   Prices are 44 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. 

AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for self-serve regular is in the Benton Harbor, Flint, Grand Rapids and Saginaw/Bay City areas, where it's $2.96 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Marquette area at $3.08.
