A Fight To The Finish In Battle: Los Angeles
DETROIT (WWJ) -Fighting an enemy alien that has traveled light years to soak up our most valuable natural resource is what Battle: Los Angeles is all about.
What starts out as a typical day on a Marine base for one Marine who is preparing for retirement, turns into a nightmare from the heavens. What seems to be a mysterious meteor shower turns into the army from a foreign land seeking a resource much needed to survive.
The movie is based in a place familiar to many movie watchers: Los Angeles, California. The plot is something we've all seen before, in such movies as "Independence Day", "War of The Worlds, etc.," but it is nowhere near short on action. While it does have plenty of action-packed scenes, it does have an over-used storyline, that may bore Sci-Fi aficionados.
All in all though, it's a great action movie for those who love explosions and action scenes but with its lack of an in-depth plot, it may be hard for Battle: Los Angeles to keep its audience's attention.
Battle: Los Angeles stars Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriquez, Damon Rodriquez, Bridget Moynahan, Ne-Yo, and Michael Peña. It's rated PG13.
