6 Minor Injuries In School Bus Crash
MONROE (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say five Monroe students and a school bus driver had minor injuries following a collision with a car in southeast Michigan.
It happened at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday near St. Anne Lane, east of Ave. de Lafayette. The bus came to rest in the front yard of a home in the Frenchmen's Bend subdivision.
The Monroe Evening News reports they were taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital following the crash.
The Monroe Public Schools bus was transporting students to Manor Elementary, and the bus came to rest in the front yard of a house. The 21 other students on the bus were taken to school where they were met by their parents.
Police in Monroe are investigating the crash.
Monroe is about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.
