MSU Student Earns First Prize At National Chemical Engineers Student Design Competition: A Michigan State University student won first prize in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers 2013 Student Design Competition in the Individual category. Logan Matthews of Midland will be honored Nov. 3 -4 during the 2013 AlChE annual meeting in San Francisco. AIChE is the world's leading organization for chemical engineering professionals. The 2013 Student Design Competition involved the design of a chemical plant to produce bio-oil and liquid fuels by marrying biomass pyrolysis and coal gasification in one joint process. Matthews said his design proved that marrying pyrolysis and gasification together did result in overall savings for the plant. This document took into account 128 separate security controls stipulated by HIPAA under the GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) sections of the law. As a result, Health Care Management found that US Signal's security environment aligned completely with the HIPAA Privacy and Security model and accredited US Signal as a HIPAA compliant organization.
