400 Pounds Of Pot Found In Minivan
Michigan State Police troopers discovered 400 pounds of marijuana in a minivan during a traffic stop along Interstate 94 in Van Buren County.
Officials tell the Kalamazoo Gazette the pot seized Thursday has an estimated street value of about $500,000.
Troopers from the Paw Paw post were patrolling I-94 in Antwerp Township around 2:15 p.m. when they pulled over a minivan for careless driving.
That's when they came across the marijuana, which was wrapped in large parcels.
Police say the 28-year-old driver was headed to Detroit, where he was to deliver the drugs for street sales.
The man was being held in the county jail, where he was awaiting arraignment.
