4 Police Shot In Precinct: Suspect Killed
DETROIT (WWJ) At least four Detroit police officers have been shot inside the Detroit 6th Precinct in Detroit.
WWJ has learned that a gunman walked into Detroit's 6th Precinct on the northwest side, at about 4:20 p.m., near Plymouth and Warwick, and began shooting, officers in the building returned fire, killing the man.
Police Chief Ralph Godbee held a news conference Sunday night saying among the wounded are a police commander, and three other officers at the station.
The condition of the officers is unknown, but all are expected to survive.
Godbee stated this incident will likely change the district's security procedures.
