3-Year-old Girl Killed, Several Others Hurt In Crash
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A 3-year-old girl has been killed and two other children critically injured in an accident on Detroit's northwest side. It happened Sunday afternoon on Wildemere near Thatcher and McNichols.
According to Detroit police, a speeding car hit the victims' parked vehicle and then struck a tree.
Witnesses told the police that the car was going 70 miles an hour before it crashed.
Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens said a 9-month old boy and an 11-year-old boy were in critical condition early Monday morning. The driver was hospitalized in serious condition, along with two teenage passengers.
