3 Teens Charged In Homecoming Night Sex Assault
Three teenagers have been charged with criminal sexual conduct in the assault of a 14-year-old Melvindale High School student.
The suspects are identified as a 17-year-old male from Detroit, and two 16-year-old juvenile males, one from Detroit and one from Southfield. The older student is being charged as an adult, while the other is being held at a juvenile facility.
Prosecutors say that after attending the Melvindale High School homecoming dance last weekend, the girl went to a hotel room where she was provided with alcohol and allegedly sexually assaulted.
Both juveniles are scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Saturday morning. The 17-year old was expected to turn himself in to authorities.
Officials are still investigating allegations that an adult reserved the room at the Comfort Inn hotel on Dix-Toledo Road, and also provided the alcohol.
