3 Arrested, School Lockdown Lifted In Canton
CANTON (WWJ) - A Monday morning robbery led to a lockdown at Plymouth-Canton schools.
Canton police said three people were armed when they robbed a Verizon Wireless store, on Ford Road near Sheldon, at around 11 a.m.
As a result, police said they requested that four nearby schools in the Plymouth-Canton district be placed on lockdown as a precaution. School affected included Bentley Elementary, Eriksson Elementary. Field Elementary and Hoben Elementary.
Three people were arrested and the school lockdown was lifted before 12 p.m. No information was immediately available about those in custody.
No injuries were reported.
