Triple Shooting In Shelby Township

Three people have been shot - two killed - at a mobile home park in Shelby Township.

Police are still looking into what sparked an argument between a husband and wife that led to the deadly shooting late Monday at the Shelby West Mobile Home Park, near 22 Mile and the Van Dyke freeway.

When officers arrived on the scene late last night, they found the two men were dead. The third gunshot victim, a woman, was  transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

WWJ got the details from Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Leman.

"The husband turned a shotgun on the wife, shot her. And an aquaintence that had been staying with the couple, was shot by the husband, and then he tuned the gun on himself," Leman said -- that's according to the woman's statement to police.

Leman identifiesd the dead gunman as 50-year-old Kenneth Moore and the other dead man as 59-year-old Steven Zahn of Troy. Leman says 55-year-old Suzanne Moore was in critical condition Tuesday.

Leman said Zahn was living with the couple while he was recovering from an illness. It was not known how the couple knew the man.

Leman said the case grew out of some sort of domestic dispute and said investigators hope to talk with the wounded woman to get further details.
