2 Young Women Killed In I-94 Crash
LINCOLN TOWNSHIP (AP) - Authorities say two young women were killed when their car swerved to avoid tire debris and crashed head-on into a semi-truck on Interstate 94 in southwestern Michigan.
The Holland Sentinel and MLive.com report that police in Berrien County's Lincoln Township identify the driver as 18-year-old Jaquisha Wright of Chicago. They say her passenger was 19-year-old passenger Rashell Allen of Holland.
Investigators say the women were westbound when the crash happened about 4:40 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the driver of the eastbound truck wasn't seriously injured.
The crash site is about 80 miles southwest of Grand Rapids. A police investigation continues.
